The opening of the Deutsche Bank KunstHalle
is not the only reason to celebrate. Parallel to the opening, the first
print edition of ArtMag is appearing. For more than ten years, ArtMag
has reported online on current tendencies in the art scene and on
Deutsche Bank’s art program. In 76 editions so far, the Internet
magazine has presented artists, provided background information, and
showed the diversity of international contemporary art.
Four
times a year, a print edition of ArtMag will accompany Deutsche Bank’s
art activities and bring them closer to people who are interested in
contemporary art – with reports on artists and curators, interviews,
and picture series. In each issue, works of an international artist
from the Deutsche Bank Collection will be presented in a portfolio. The first is Yang Fudong,
those melancholically beautiful films and photographs reflect the
spirit of a young Chinese generation. We present new books and art
highlights for the coming months. And on the occasion of the
exhibition Stadt in Sicht (City in Sight), we provide urbanists with food for thought and denizens of big cities with practical ideas.
