The New ArtStation at Winchester House

There’s a new attraction at Winchester House. Staff and visitors in Deutsche Bank’s London office can now discover art in an innovative way: with the ArtStation in the building’s main lobby, where some of the most spectacular works from the collection are shown. Alongside the sculptures of Anish Kapoor and Tony Cragg and Damien Hirst’s spot painting Biotin-Malemide, Keith Tyson’s recently installed wall-sized painting 12 Harmonics is on view. Readers interested in finding out more about these works can consult one of the ArtStation’s iPads and find what they’re looking for under the heading “The Art in Reception.”
But there’s more to navigate on the touch screen than the art installment at Winchester House. It also provides information on artists from all areas of the Deutsche Bank Collection. 70 international artists are introduced under “Featured Artists”; a portrait of the respective artist and biographical information augment images of that artist’s works in the collection. “Art Works Global” presents the bank’s art program, which is exemplified by the new, younger and more international art installment in the Deutsche Bank Towers. Finally, the many programs Deutsche Bank has initiated in its ongoing commitment to contemporary art and educational projects are documented under the heading “Supporting the Arts.” One of the iPads at the ArtStation is connected to a large screen—enabling other visitors in the lobby to share in this journey of discovery.
